JUST Egg™ Partners with Mikey’s and Crepini to Expand Retail Offerings
This summer, Eat Just, Inc., a company that applies cutting-edge science and technology on a mission to create healthier, more sustainable foods, is partnering with Mikey’s and Crepini to bring three new innovative plant-based packaged foods to consumers for breakfast and beyond. Mikey’s plant-based breakfast pockets and Crepini Eggless Wraps offer consumers new and delicious options to enjoy JUST Egg™ in convenient and creative ways.
Mikey’s, known for gluten-free and dairy-free pockets and wraps, is offering two plant-based breakfast pockets featuring JUST Egg. The Breakfast Scramble pocket features JUST Egg, plant-based cheese and veggies, and Tex-Mex Breakfast combines JUST Egg with plant-based cheese, beans, veggies, and Tex-Mex seasoning. Both are wrapped in a tasty gluten-free crust and can be microwaved for a delicious, healthy and convenient breakfast on the go. Crepini, makers of original carb-swap Egg Wraps, has created their first-ever plant-based Eggless Wrap using JUST Egg. In addition to Crepini’s quintessential carb-free benefits, the brand has formulated a new recipe featuring JUST Egg that’s plant-based, protein-packed and free of dairy and gluten. The Eggless Wrap with JUST Egg will debut at Sprouts locations nationwide beginning in June with additional grocers to come.
With conventional egg sales by volume declining and expenditures rising due to inflation and other factors, plant-based eggs are now a bright spot of growth in the plant-based category (SPINS). Plant-based eggs are increasingly moving beyond the dairy and egg section, and these new products from Mikey’s and Crepini are just two of the latest examples.
