Barnes & Noble Cafés Debut First Plant-Based Breakfast Sandwich with JUST Egg™

With more than 500 locations, this marks JUST Egg’s largest foodservice partnership in the United States

Barnes & Noble, the largest bookseller in the United States, will introduce its JUST Egg™ Breakfast Sandwich at all B&N Cafés beginning Monday, April 10. The new menu item, launching during Earth Month, is the first fully plant-based sandwich offered at B&N Cafés, giving customers a more sustainable way to fuel their day. The sandwich features JUST Egg Folded, melted Violife smoked provolone and creamy plant-based aioli on a soft ciabatta roll. With more than 500 stores in all 50 states, this limited time offering represents JUST Egg’s largest U.S. foodservice partnership to date.

Shoppers at Barnes & Noble and visitors to B&N Cafés can now enjoy the JUST Egg Breakfast Sandwich for a limited time. While B&N Cafés have offered other plant-based menu items in the past, the chance for customers to try a plant-based egg in the comfortable, familiar setting of a bookstore represents a significant opportunity for JUST Egg to reach new consumers who may not have encountered the brand before. By adding hundreds of new points of distribution with this Barnes & Noble partnership, JUST Egg is demonstrating its commitment to making plant-based eggs widely accessible for all types of consumers.

Launching during Earth Month, a time when many people look at behavioral changes they can make to help fight climate change, the JUST Egg Breakfast sandwich at Barnes & Noble offers a way for shoppers to do something good for the planet with every bite. Because JUST Egg is made from plants, it uses 98% less water, 83% less land, and produces 93% fewer carbon emissions, making it a delicious, nourishing, and sustainable choice for any time of day.

“JUST Egg’s rapid growth in foodservice over the last few years demonstrates strong demand from consumers for plant-based foods, and this latest introduction at Barnes & Noble represents yet another important milestone,” said JUST Egg Chief Revenue Officer Matt Riley. “The opportunity to team up with this iconic brand to offer a fully plant-based sandwich means that JUST Egg is now available at more than 3,000 restaurants and cafes throughout the U.S., including hundreds of comfortable, inviting Barnes & Noble Cafés. I, for one, can’t wait to pair my next good book with a delicious JUST Egg Breakfast Sandwich.”
